Position Overview
Reporting to the Estimating Team Lead and Director of Sales and Marketing, the Senior Estimator will be responsible for project estimating and quoting activities for all project related opportunities. The Senior Estimator will work closely with management, estimating group, sales team, and project managers on aspects of the project in order to \xe2\x80\x9cwin\xe2\x80\x9d the job and see that the product is produced, and the customer\xe2\x80\x99s \xe2\x80\x9cneeds\xe2\x80\x9d are met. Garibaldi Glass is looking for a technically minded, strategic and metrics-driven Senior Estimator with a special eye for detail to join our growing team.   • Collect all required information needed to respond to quote request, including pricing, freight costs, potential sample requirements and glass performance data
  • Communicate with customers to collect additional information and answer questions
  • Support Project Management team once a project has been awarded by providing standardized communication document on project requirements
  • Actively participate in calls and meetings with potential customers and architects
  • Build and maintain relationships with potential clients
  • Utilize sales and customer service skills to follow up on quotes and help close project deals
  • Provide technical support to clients, sales representatives, project managers and management
Continuous Improvement
  • Actively participate in the projects supporting the direction and vision of the company moving forward.
  • Share ideas and ways to improve departmental performance with shift leadership and participate in the testing and verification of improved processes.
  • Support and be open to other team member ideas and suggestions.
  • Participate on cross-functional teams to identify production issues and contribute to the approval of new processes.
  • Promote \xe2\x80\x9cend to end customer care\xe2\x80\x9d in all aspects of the job.
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Training)
  • Completion of vocational/ technical school
  • 2+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience completing estimates within a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience in the glass and/or building materials industry is considered an asset
Required Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities
  • Advanced computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word,
  • Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge and experience with CRM tools \xe2\x80\x93 Hubspot is considered an asset
  • Ability to read blueprints, elevation and shop drawings
  • Technical and mechanical aptitude to understand, advise and train on products
  • Strong business development and sales skills
  • Excellent work ethic, self-motivated and driven
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Professional attitude and diplomatic working relations with internal and external stakeholders
  • A high attention to detail with proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines

Compensation ranges from $75,000-$85,000 depending on experience.Additional Information:
