Purpose:

We are currently looking for a Senior Project Control Cost Analyst to join our team in Edmonton.

Responsibilities:

  • Development of monthly cost report and cost forecast.
  • Set up and administration of monthly incurred cost flow.
  • Setting of original budget.
  • Ensure costs are tracked properly with appropriate use of WBS and CBS coding.
  • Change management coordination.
  • Administration and maintenance of Ecosys.
  • Consolidation and development of month end cost and progress reporting.
Qualifications

What you will bring

Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements:
  • Significant and progressive experience in cost management, earned value, cash flows, invoice, performance measurement, and milestones & project auditing.
  • Controls experience working on major EPCM projects.
  • Asset: Proficiency in EcoSys\xc2\xae.
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Measurement (EVM \xe2\x80\x93 ANSI EIA-748B) in engineering, procurement & construction.
  • Cost engineering and estimating experience as contained in AACE and PMI (PMBok) standard practices.
  • Strong knowledge of, and the interrelationship of a good technical project scope definition, quality of the schedule and estimate, construction sequence and execution, procurement and contracting strategies, commissioning and start up.
  • Capable of developing and maintaining control budget (TIC & Services), and forecast EPC scopes of work.
  • Full understanding of cross-functional interfaces with engineering, procurement \xe2\x80\x93 materials & sub-contracts, construction, safety, quality, finance/accounting, and document control
  • Capable of managing impact of change & trends, CPI / SPI / MPI.
  • Understanding of financial interface for expenditures, revenue recognition, invoicing, cash flow / cash calls.
  • Working knowledge of Risk Management systems and tools for costs and schedule.
  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to influence, mentorship skills, and relationship building skills.
  • Proven methodology development skills, curriculum development and review skills, as well as presentation and facilitation skills.
Education \xe2\x80\x93 Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:
  • A university degree or diploma in engineering, business or technical diploma.
  • Certification by PMI (PMP) and/or AACE or similar accredited project management institute.
