As a Senior Financial Analyst in our North America CRB Finance team, your primary responsibility will be to analyze financial data and provide insights and recommendations to senior management to help drive business decisions. The Role Responsible for supporting annual planning, monthly forecasting, quarterly reporting, and Producer compensation analytics for Business Finance functions and supporting the business unit roll-up. This role will also support standard management reporting across Business functions. As a key financial liaison, the Senior Financial Analyst will partner with the various departments across the business unit to:

  • Developing financial models to support decision-making and forecasting.
  • Preparing monthly financial reports to senior management.
  • Analyze financial data and identify trends and opportunities for improvements while tracking against KPIs.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure financial data is accurate and consistent.
  • Evaluating the financial impact of business decisions and providing recommendations to senior management.
  • Conducting cost-benefit analysis and risk assessments.
  • Assist in building annual budgets and updating the plan and forecast systems in a timely fashion.
  • Review and investigate the company\xe2\x80\x99s accounting transactions by running adhoc reports from GL for in depth analysis on revenue and expenses to improve data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the senior management team on achieving company\xe2\x80\x99s long-term financial objectives.
  • Supports administration and calculation of producer compensation by reviewing and analyzing materials including but not limited to compensation plan descriptions for calculation accuracy, supporting revenue documentation and any adjustments or exceptions approved by operational leadership.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information, investment decisions, or any other tasks assigned by the organization
The Requirements
  • Education: A Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field is required. A master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business administration (MBA) or finance is preferred.
  • Relevant experience: 4-7 years of relevant work experience in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • Analytical skills: The ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights is essential. You should be able to use financial modelling and analysis tools to support decision-making.
  • Communication skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with internal stakeholders, and senior management. This includes written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is usually required. Experience with financial analysis and reporting tools is also beneficial.
  • Experience with PowerBI or Alteryx or similar tools beneficial.
  • Attention to detail: Be detail-oriented and able to ensure that financial data is accurate and consistent.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing business conditions and priorities and be willing to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
  • Understanding of insurance industry: A basic understanding of the insurance industry, its products and services, regulations, and market trends is important.
