We have an immediate opening for a Senior Consultant within the Global Customer Success team at our Aviation and Defense Business Unit headquarters in Ottawa. We are looking for a Senior Consultant who has creativity and passion for delivering an amazing user experience to our clients. Help us move forward as we continue to break boundaries with our world class aviation maintenance enterprise software. As a mission-critical IT system, the delivery of high-quality products is key to the continued success of IFS. This role plays a major part in ensuring our IFS Maintenix product is fully integrated into a complex customer IT environment. This opportunity is a full-time permanent position.   • Provide business process and knowledge to the design, development, and testing of new IFS Maintenix implementations as well as the enhancement of existing IT systems
  • Work with amazing people who know the aviation industry inside and out in order to understand the problems that we’re trying to solve
  • Roll up your sleeves and dig in, seeking to understand customer business requirements and creatively translate them to system requirements
  • Plan and execute testing to validate designs and implementations
  • Support the implementation of the extraction, transformation, loading (ETL) and validation of data moving from customers' legacy systems into IFS Maintenix
  • Assist in the development and testing of custom data migration scripts PL/SQL in an Oracle environment
  • Contribute directly to our internal business improvement initiatives


Qualifications
Essential:
  • University degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or an applicable education in aviation maintenance and operations, or equivalent
  • 6-8 years in a customer facing software implementation role
  • Effective problem solver
  • Solid understanding of software implementation and how it helps solves the business problems faced by the end user
  • Experience participating in the extraction, transformation, loading and validation of data between software systems
  • Experience with business and systems analysis, supported by business process and data modeling knowledge and an awareness of technology trends and leading practices
  • Ability to think critically when faced with a problem or task
  • Thrives in an environment with pressing deadlines and constantly changing conditions
  • Phenomenal interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to work with fellow team mates effectively
  • Ability to communicate effectively and foster relationships with clients, team members and third-party partners
  • Experience working with SQL and Oracle RDBMS or other database technologies
  • Proficiency in MS office (i.e. MS Excel, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Willing and able to travel globally at a minimum of 35%
  • Must be able to obtain a NATO II Security Clearance
Additional Skills:
  • An understanding of the concepts related to software integration, relational databases and data migration
  • SQL programming experience
  • Experience working in a maintenance and engineering department of an aviation organization
  • IFS Application implementation experience
