Job Title: Senior Communications Specialist (TEMPORARY ROLE) \xe2\x80\x93 RQ 23 - 40 Are you interested in being part of a team that believes in the pursuit of excellence, conducting work in a safe and sustainable manner and being courageous and collaborative in everything they do? TAQA North is seeking a Senior Communications Specialist. Reporting to the Executive Director, Human Resources and Business Support, the Senior Communications Specialist is a dynamic role that supports the development and execution of TAQA North\xe2\x80\x99s internal communications strategy and is responsible for planning and coordinating corporate events. The right candidate for this role is someone who has experience in both communications and event planning and has demonstrated the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, professional environment. They will have excellent written communications skills and experience developing various communications including executive communications. They will also have strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Finally, the right candidate for this role will possess the confidence to take direction and initiative and can roll up their sleeves to get things done Please note that this is a 12-18 month Temporary position, based out of our Calgary office located downtown. Key Responsibilities:

  • Executing the company\xe2\x80\x99s internal communications strategy.
  • Developing various communications for various platforms including executive communications.
  • Helping plan and coordinate corporate events including town halls.
  • Integrating and upholding the company brand across communications platforms.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with key internal stakeholders to develop content for projects that support various business priorities.
  • Supporting the fulfillment of deliverables for TAQA Group\xe2\x80\x99s global initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a communications or public relations role
  • Excellent written communications skills. Writing samples/portfolio will be required.
  • Experience developing content for a variety of communications channels.
  • Experience working with executive teams and creating executive communications.
  • Experience planning corporate events.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects at once and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (design software) an asset.
  • Familiarity with Canadian Press writing style an asset.
