The main responsibilities of the Claim Director, Financial Lines will be to handle high-severity liability claims in the following lines of business: Directors and Officers, Errors and Omissions, Employment Practices, Cyber, Transactional Risk, Fidelity, and Fiduciary.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Handle various high-severity Financial Lines claims from initial notice to resolution while adhering to Chubb's Best Practices.
Provide superior customer service and build and maintain excellent business relationships with customers and stakeholders.
Conduct coverage reviews and issue coverage positions.
Engage in proactive investigations and demonstrate a clear resolution strategy.
Secure and review all supporting documentation including expert reports and legal opinions.
Assess loss documentation and its impact on the quantum of the claim.
Provide timely reporting of large losses to management and other stakeholders.
Establish and maintain accurate and timely reserves.
Manage the use, work product, and expenses of outside vendors, including lawyers and other experts. Ensure compliance with litigation cost management guidelines and Chubb's e-billing system.
Participate in mediations and meetings with the insured, defense counsel and broker.
Maintain an active diary and adhere to file reporting requirements.
Regularly meet with clients to review claims processes.
Partner with underwriters on claims issues, such as providing claims data, and marketing initiatives.
