Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW



The Senior Business Analyst, Data and Insights plays a pivotal role in advancing the organization's analytics and digital intelligence agenda across business units. This position is responsible for identifying, shaping, and supporting business needs related to reporting, data platforms, advanced analytics, and AI/ML initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and Kruger's enterprise data architecture.

Collaborating with teams across Finance, Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, and Innovation, the analyst drives user adoption, solution design, and the delivery of trusted insights through platforms such as SAP BW, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Business Data Commons (BDC), Databricks, and Power BI.

This role is critical to shaping Kruger's data-driven culture and will support the enablement and transition toward S/4HANA, enterprise data lake, and emerging GenAI technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES



Data and Analytics Demand Shaping



Partner with business stakeholders to identify and prioritize analytics use cases and reporting needs.



Lead discovery sessions and manage intake for dashboards, KPIs, data models, and insight solutions.



Act as the primary IT liaison for advanced analytics initiatives involving SAP and enterprise data platforms.

Solution Delivery and Design



Translate business requirements into detailed functional and data specifications.



Collaborate with Data Engineering and Architecture teams to support integration, modeling, and visualization.



Serve as product owner or analyst lead for the delivery of dashboards in Power BI, SAC, or Databricks.



Support the development of semantic layers, data marts, and governed self-serve reporting assets.

Platform Expertise and System Integration



Provide functional expertise in SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Power BI, and BDC models.



Support solution integration with ERP systems (SAP ECC, JDE), operational platforms, and enterprise data lakes (e.g., Databricks).



Participate in data validation, User Acceptance Testing, and ongoing performance tuning for data-driven solutions.

Data Governance and Quality



Promote data stewardship and ownership practices across functions.



Help define and monitor data quality metrics, lineage, and cataloging efforts in partnership with the Data Governance team.



Contribute to metadata standards, reporting definitions, and harmonization of KPIs.

Enablement and Change Management



Train business users on dashboards, insights tools, and analytics best practices.



Support citizen data analysts and functional power users in adoption of new tools and capabilities.



Contribute to communication plans and user adoption strategies for enterprise insight programs.

Innovation and AI Readiness



Collaborate with IT and innovation teams to identify opportunities to embed AI/ML models and GenAI-powered analytics.



Contribute to proof-of-concepts (POCs) and pilots in areas such as predictive forecasting, anomaly detection, or intelligent automation.

QUALIFICATIONS





Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field.

Post-graduate certification or coursework in Analytics, Data Engineering, or AI/ML is an asset.

EXPERIENCE





Minimum 10 years of experience in business analytics, BI, or data platform roles.



Hands-on expertise with SAP BW, SAC, and Power BI is required.



Exposure to BDC or similar semantic layer environments, as well as platforms such as Databricks, Azure Synapse, or Snowflake platforms.



Strong experience working across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, or Commercial analytics domains.



Familiarity with S/4HANA data structures or roadmap planning is a plus.

Strong business acumen with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.



Excellent stakeholder engagement, documentation, and communication skills.



Able to navigate complex enterprise environments and work across divisions.



Strong data storytelling, visualization, and user enablement skills.



Comfortable with agile delivery models, product ownership, and iterative development.

LANGUAGES

Bilingual - French / English (advanced level)
Knowledge of English is required for this specific position as Kruger deals with partners across North America and the successful candidate will be required to communicate frequently with them.
