Leader Name: Director, CFO Business Process & Architecture

As ATB's next Senior Business Analyst in the Business Process & Architecture team, you will be responsible for proactively engaging in problem solving by analyzing processes, identifying issues, making recommendations for improvements, and implementing changes approved by Management. You will be at the forefront of bravely pushing the boundaries of our processes, technology and our mindset within the CFO Portfolio, which includes departments such as Finance, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Treasury - just to name a few. You will also be responsible for leading and executing initiatives end to end that can vary from process redesigns, reorganizations, technology changes, etc.

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Process Analyst - you will be responsible for reviewing business processes to identify potential gaps and redundancies. Be proactive in making recommendations for process improvements that support business strategies, mitigate risk, optimize performance, and improve the user experience. You will be responsible for leading all phases of the business improvement cycle - including mapping current state, defining gaps/challenges, analyzing what needs to change, working with relevant subject matter experts to redesign the process, and creating and executing the change management plan to ensure process adoption and evaluation.
  • Project Support - you will be providing project and business analysis support on initiatives that align with the CFO Portfolio's strategic goals. This includes participating in and/or leading discovery sessions, conducting research, mapping current state, extracting and analyzing data, defining and evaluating solutions, presenting recommendations, creating the change management plan, and supporting testing efforts. You may also support projects through the maintenance of project schedule, budget, workplan, KPIs and other metrics.
  • Document Governance - you will be maintaining project documentation and establishing document governance standards. You will be creating and maintaining process documentation, training material, and other project artifacts.
  • Catalyst for Change - you will act as a change champion for advancing the mindset and skills of the future within the areas you support.
  • Mentorship - you will act as a mentor and support resource to junior Business Analysts.
Requirements
  • Business Analyst certification with 5+ years experience in Business Analysis and/or Process Analyst/Improvement type roles.
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma certification (minimum Green Belt) with applicable experience is considered an asset.
  • Direct experience in project/program management.
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, to recognize and resolve complex issues and devise creative solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to navigate different personalities and influence senior leaders.
  • Ability to leverage data and key performance indicators to generate insight and provide guidance to improve operational processes.
  • Ability to translate technical solutions into consumable non-technical language.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with team members.
  • Proficient experience in process modelling standards and tools.
  • Ability to quickly learn various systems and ATB tools such as Google Looker Studio, Jira, Tableau, ARIS, LUCID, Miro, AppSheet.
  • Proficient in Google workspace tools.
  • Proficient in data reporting, data visualization, & dashboarding tools.
  • Working knowledge of SQL.
  • Demonstrated interest in new technologies such as AI and Automation.
Nice to haves:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Proficiency with SAP systems.
  • Previous Banking Experience.
  • Familiarity with Accounting principles.
