Our client, a reputable accounting firm, is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to join their dynamic team in Toronto.Responsibilities:
Lead a team in managing clientsxe2x80x99 monthly accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, government remittances, payroll, and more.
Collaborate with accountants to prepare clientsxe2x80x99 year-end financial statements and ensure accurate reporting.
Conduct client meetings, assist with bookkeeping system setups, and provide training on software usage.
Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering their development and growth.
Full-time, permanent position with the option for flexible work arrangements (in-office, hybrid, or remote).
Paid overtime may be required during busy seasons, including evenings and weekends.
Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience in full-cycle bookkeeping, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and financial statement preparation and analysis.
Strong payroll experience is a plus.
Proficient in designing and implementing new processes and workflows to improve client services.
Familiar with major bookkeeping software, including QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, Sage 50, Xero, and other cloud-based accounting tools (certifications are a plus).
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both clients and team members.
Strong problem-solving abilities, with the confidence to advise clients on complex matters such as sales tax, payroll, and financial transactions.
High standards of integrity, along with exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to effectively manage multiple clients and meet deadlines.
