Job Description
Our Southeast Calgary client is a leader in providing custom products in the medical industry and they are looking for a dependable and self - motivated Senior Bookkeeper to assist in managing the day to day operations in their growing team. Responsibilities:
- Full cycle bookkeeping
- Create financial statement including cash flow, and P & L statements
- Manage and develop junior bookkeepers
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecast and variance analysis
- Prepare bi-weekly/monthly payroll
- File monthly/quarterly GST returns and other government submissions (PST, WCB, etc.)
- Develop accounting systems and processes
- 5 years experience working in full cycle bookkeeping
- Post-secondary education in Accounting or related field, preference will be given to those willing to obtain their CPA designation
- Experience within public practice would be a strong asset
- Intermediate level knowledge of MS Office Suite, and Google Drive; previous experience working with cloud-based accounting would be beneficial
- Must have a solid understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Must be flexible, and able to work under pressure
