Hopewell Support Services is seeking a full-time Senior Behaviour Therapist to join our team, providing support across multiple sites in Guelph-Wellington, ON!

Competitive annual salary range between $70,000.00 and $94,000.00 and flexible full-time work schedule based on client & staff needs. YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES





Reporting to the Director of Operations and Support Services, your day-to-day responsibilities include:


Behavioural Programs & Clinical Leadership




Conduct functional assessments and interpret results to inform Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs). Design, implement, and monitor behaviour interventions aligned with Hopewell's mission, vision, values, and Quality Assurance Measures (QAM) standards. Provide clinical supervision, training, and feedback to staff, fostering evidence-based practices. Collaborate with program managers and consulting professionals to evaluate and refine BSPs and skill development programs. Ensure all behaviour support strategies respect the rights of individuals, and that intrusive measures are employed only when absolutely necessary.

Team Mentorship & Capacity Building




Supervise other behavioural therapists and support leadership development within the clinical team. Mentor and support staff in problem-solving, clinical decision-making, and applied behaviour analysis techniques. Deliver professional consultation, training, and guidance to enhance staff capacity and service quality.

Administrative & Compliance Responsibilities




Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Quality Assurance Measures (QAM) requirements. Prepare reports and ensure data-driven evaluation of behaviour support plans. Serve as a resource to families, staff, and community agencies, fostering collaboration and consistency across environments. Maintain professional accountability, adhere to ethical standards, and report any contraventions of legislation, policies, or clinical practice standards.

Coordination & Resource Management




Oversee programming for assigned clients, including data analysis, updating Behaviour Support Plans (BSP)s, attending team meetings, and evaluating outcomes. Stay current with best practices, emerging research, and innovations in ABA and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE




Master's degree in ABA, Psychology, Education, or related human services field; or Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Behavioural Science, Psychology, or related discipline with equivalent experience. Current BCBA or RBA certification (or equivalent) and in good standing with relevant professional bodies. 2+ years of experience in applied behaviour analysis, including assessment, program design, data collection, and BSP implementation. Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or complex behavioural needs. Experience providing supervision, coaching, or training to staff and caregivers. Strong understanding of QAM under the Services and Supports to Promote the Social Inclusion of Persons with Developmental Disabilities Act, 2008. Proven ability to use data-driven decision-making to evaluate behavioural outcomes. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in documentation and electronic data systems. Valid Class G driver's license and ability to travel between sites as required.
