As a Senior Auditor, you will influence and facilitate change across the organization in a role that provides tremendous networking and development opportunities. In this role, you will gain enterprise wide exposure as you work with the various functions and businesses to plan and conduct audits and consulting engagements.

We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a new team member with a questioning attitude and strong communication skills who take pride in their work! You will work as part of the Internal Audit team, reporting to a Manager Internal Audit to support and deliver engagements as part of the annual audit schedule.

Minimum Requirements:

10 years of relevant experience in the energy industry

A Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree, in business, accounting, economics, engineering, science or other relevant education

Strong technical writing skills

Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite & SAP

Proven analytical skills combined with a high level of intellectual curiosity to communicate complex information into validated insights and solutions

Strong interpersonal skills with proven success in business partnering

Self-starter, work well in a dynamic environment, comfortable with ambiguity

Responsibilities:

Support planning and execution of audits independently

Prepare initial drafts of audit plans, work programs and reports with minimal assistance

Plan and conduct interviews with mid level leaders in the organization

Work with the team to conduct, analyze and report out on data analytics as they relate to an audit objective

Provide direction to junior staff and guest auditors on individual assignments

Exercise independent judgement in managing ambiguous and complex situations while implementing workable solutions

Apply judgement in evaluating risks and controls, identify audit findings, determining what issues are brought forward for further review and consideration

Consults with senior specialists on complex and difficult issues.

Location and other Key Details:

You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150\xe2\x80\x936th Ave S.W.

Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday

Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work

Depending on the nature of the role, we have implemented a Hybrid Work Model to provide our employees with a combination of office-based work and \xe2\x80\x98work from home\xe2\x80\x99 flexibility.
