The Ministry of Finance performs a variety of roles, all focused on supporting a strong economic, fiscal, and investment climate for Ontario while ensuring accountability with respect to the use of public funds. This includes coordinating and reporting on the province's fiscal plan through Ontario's Quarterly Finances, the Ontario Economic Outlook and Fiscal Review, and the Ontario Budget.

In this role, you will:
Research, develop and co-ordinate communications plans, strategies and priorities for short- and long-term communications projects, ensuring they support the ministry's business plans and the government's strategic direction
Provide strategic communications and issues management advice to senior management
Write content for speeches, statements, public events, news releases and other public documents
Strengthen communications and policy linkages through partnerships with policy and program counterparts in the ministry
Co-ordinate project planning and ensure that work is completed in an effective, professional and cross-functional manner
Co-ordinate and manage project timelines and deliverables
