The Organizational Development (OD) Program is seeking a highly committed, systems focused OD practitioner who is ready to roll up their sleeves and collaborate with stakeholders to design, develop, implement, and evaluate frameworks, processes, and products to enforce and enhance AHS' People focused systems. The successful incumbent will be working in a provincial team and connecting with people across the organization. They will lead and support projects of significant magnitude. They will apply their expertise with an eye on achieving the objectives outlined in Our People Strategy and the Patient First Strategy. Their goals will include the development, integration and/or evolution of enterprise-wide scalable programs and products, frameworks, processes, and sustainable services - all designed and developed to increase the overall capability and competence of AHS leaders and staff. And they will routinely draw on their project management, change management and stakeholder engagement skills to work with stakeholders providing expert advice on talent management practices and initiatives. Description:

Our senior advisors are required to be solutions focused and adaptive while learning how to help to improve the organizational systems. They model our AHS values, competencies and LEADS leadership capabilities. They engage with the workforce, and representative programs and services, while advocating for explicit integration and practice of these foundational elements. Senior Advisors draw on their project, change management and stakeholder engagement skills to routinely work with various AHS leaders to identify and advise on talent management practices and initiatives. They will influence and guide clients to align their strategies with organizational initiatives. The primary responsibilities of a senior advisor in Organizational Development is to: (1) facilitate a Valued-Based Culture by translating workforce strategies and talent management practices to a broad set of diverse target audiences to support the creation of a workplace environment where people are able to feel safe, healthy, included and able are to reach their full potential, in alignment with the culture identified in Our People Strategy; (2) collaborate effectively by nurturing networks with internal and external stakeholders to keep abreast of best and emerging practices to support system-wide transformation and maturation of TMS programs; and (3) improve organizational systems and capabilities by designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating strategies, frameworks, processes and products to support and enhance AHS People focused systems.

Required Qualifications:

Postsecondary degree in organizational development, management, human resources or a related discipline. Strong business acumen and understanding of what contributes to talent success. Experience developing talent and employee development programs. Excellent presentation and facilitation skills (both virtual and in-person) and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of leaders and employees. Dynamic, adaptable to change and enjoys working in a challenging and collaborative environment. Ability to act as a change agent by applying both project and change management methodologies. Collaborative influencer with strong consultative skills, excellent stakeholder management and listening skills. Seen as a trusted partner with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers. Excellent critical thinking skills, including using good business sense and organizational values to make decisions involving varying levels of risk and ambiguity. Demonstrated experience facilitating complex sessions and bringing groups to consensus. Strong understanding of talent management technologies and how to leverage them to enhance programing.
Additional Required Qualifications:

An experienced OD practitioner you are skilled in strategic planning, policy development, business planning, and modeling concepts. A demonstrated growth mindset and a commitment to continuous learning is required. You display an ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Your proven ability to foster partnerships allows you to achieve organizational goals within a large, diverse unionized organization and quickly adapt strategies in response to emerging issues/needs. All Non-Union/Exempt positions are being reviewed for possible inclusions in the AUPE General Support Services bargaining unit. If this position is impacted, the incumbent will be notified accordingly.
Preferred Qualifications:

In addition to the required qualifications the following education and experience is preferred: Healthcare industry knowledge and experience; Master's degree in social sciences such as Organizational Development, Interdisciplinary Studies, Adult Education, Human Resources, Leadership; and/or a graduate diploma in change; conflict, data analytics, project management, coaching and/or leadership; as well as prior experience working in an organizational development department.
