About the role

We are looking for an Senior Administrator, OpenShift Platform to join our growing team!

In this role, you will collaborate with senior experts responsible for the integration and operation of our containerized infrastructure. The work of this team, along with teams in Montreal, Anjou, St-Hyacinthe and Toronto helps to ensure the integrity, efficiency and excellence of our IT systems so people can effortlessly leverage technology to do their work and do it well.

What you\'ll do here:

  • Deployment and operation of our container infrastructure based on Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes on-prem and in Cloud.
  • Actively contribute to the evolution and automation of the platform.
  • Participate in various projects to improve our infrastructure as well as business development projects.
  • Assist in troubleshooting/remediation, and pro-active maintenance of all hardware and software elements that combine to deliver the platform.
  • Work as part of the operations team to handle incidents and requests.
  • Engage in 24/7 Production support as part of an on-call support team (rotation).
  • Be available for changes outside of normal office hours.
  • Manage monitoring of the platform components and act on alerts.
  • Create documentation to ensure effective operations/support of the platform.
  • Assist with on-boarding new teams to our container platform and in accelerating cloud adoption.
  • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
  • Participate in DR exercises.
What you need:
  • 3 years of experience with Openshift.
  • Excellent knowledge of OpenShift Container Platform both on-prem and in Cloud, Kubernetes, CRI/O.
  • Knowledge of AWS and Azure Cloud services.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools: Ansible, Terraform, GitOps.
  • Knowledge of Monitoring tools (Prometheus, AlertManager, Grafana).
  • Knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMWare).
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps.
  • Experience with Agile software development and release engineering (branching, versioning, tagging) with tools such as GitHub.
  • Preferred: OpenShift certifications.
