How your role will add to the story:
We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for Senior Active Directory Administrator to join our Global Cyber Security team and worldwide organization. This team is the backbone of our global Active Directory (AD) service delivery. This service helps us to secure Mercedes-Benz internal and cloud environments. This includes the execution of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), incident, change & problem management on the related processes, as well as procedures and work instructions. If you have a history of administering AD services incl. their consolidation & migration, then we want to talk to you.
A day in the life

• Install and operate Microsoft Active Directory (AD) services on enterprise-level infrastructure by collaborating with project and support teams.
• Identify opportunities to innovate, extend and enhance service delivery.
• ITIL approach to resolve technical problems. Troubleshoot issues, investigate root causes and support resolution of the issues found.
• Provide guidance and serve as an escalation point for complex application-related support and troubleshooting.
• Perform daily system monitoring; verify the integrity and availability of all involved infrastructure elements, server resources, systems and key processes. Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs. Ensure that the performance, scalability, and security is maintained and optimized.
• Deliver quality documentation allowing for smooth day-to-day operations.
• Improve and automate existing processes by proposing and implementing sustainable solutions to recurring problems and enhancements to existing solutions.
• Contact vendors for technical support in case of priority 1 incidents.
• Work with the other operational AD teams in Germany, India, and Singapore based on our follow the sun approach.

Qualifikationen

Mercedes-Benz Fan skills, requirements & traits:

• BA/BS or MS Degree in Computer Science or 5+ years of equivalent industry experience (required)
• 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure / AD administration (required).
• Very strong working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory (AD) including AD based DNS (required).
• Comprehensive experience with enterprise multi-forest infrastructure models (required).
• Extensive knowledge of client / server operating systems (Linux, UNIX, and Windows), backend infrastructure services and networking, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), certificates, and their impact on Active Directory (required).
• Experience in Microsoft SCOM, SCCM, and Microsoft Hyper-V or Quest backup systems (required).
• Understanding of Azure AD / Microsoft cloud IAM solutions.
• Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM), authentication and authorization in particular.
• Able to work in project teams, under pressure, facilitate discussion, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
• Excellent communicator, able to engage and effectively respond to diverse stakeholders.
• Language skills: English fluent; German will be a plus.
