Job Description

We are currently searching for a dynamic person for the position of Senior Accounts Receivable Analyst. This position is responsible for analyzing outstanding client balances and deep diving into activity detail, and subsequently securing payments from clients with the objective of avoiding financial risk.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Analyze outstanding client accounts receivable balances, identify process or other obstacles, resolve issues through root cause analysis and appropriate remedy, and recover funds through the use of various tools
• Work closely with Rating, Invoicing, Operations and Sales departments to ensure efficient and effective processes throughout the sales cycle, from initial booking to cash collection
• Communicate problem accounts by escalating them to management (Sales and Finance) and inform managers of any potential issues that may negatively impact the Accounts Receivable department
• Collect client accounts using all necessary tools (i.e. telephone, e-mail or customer portals);
• Verify shipments in transit for cash-based customers to ensure cash collection prior to release of freight
• Monitor blocked booking due to credit risk
• Assist in cash application referencing solutions as well as other application
• Perform other duties and task, as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s in business or equivalent combination of experience and education
• 5 years of relevant experience (Transportation field an asset)
• Intermediate MS Excel and Outlook skills
• Knowledge of AS400 (an asset)
• French is an asset.
