Barber Collins security is looking for a part time Security Guard to work every weekend at a an Industrial client facility in Cambridge, ON. We are looking for a long term guard .

Shifts

:

1) Every Saturday and Sunday (16 hours per week): 3pm to 11pm

Preference given to Candidates who can work extra casual shifts during the week as required.

Responsibilities:

Truck gate access control recording trucks and contractors in and out and ensuring they meet safety PPE requirements. Patrol a large industrial facility checking doors and checking and recording sprinkler riser pressures. Monitor Fire panel and set according to client requirements. Protect company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment. Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences. Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates. Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment. Access control for the facility/area. Ensuring that the facility's safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to site emergencies. Demonstrating judgement, common sense, and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.

Skills:

Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position. Trained Security Guard with a diploma in a related field. Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment. Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols. Surveillance skills and detail orientation. Integrity and professionalism. Ability to operate security equipment/systems, computers, radios, phones. Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills.

Pay: $19.00 per hour
