$21.00 to $21.50 per hour

Schedule:

Variable shifts, afternoons, and weekends - 10:00 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. start

Position Overview

Allied Universal is currently hiring a

Security Guard - Monitoring

to support the safe and secure operations of a busy commercial environment in

Guildford

,

Surrey, BC

. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for monitoring surveillance systems, access control points, and alarm panels to ensure the ongoing safety of visitors, staff, and property.


As a Security Guard - Monitoring this position requires a high level of attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to assess and respond appropriately to a wide range of situations. You will also assist with dispatching field personnel and escalating incidents as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor CCTV, access control systems, and life safety alarms Conduct virtual patrols and surveillance checks from the control room Track and document all security-related activity through logs and software Dispatch mobile or foot patrol officers in response to suspicious activity or incidents Maintain communication with on-site security personnel via radio and phone Respond to alarms and coordinate with emergency services when necessary Control access to restricted areas, issue temporary passes, and verify identification Escalate issues to site leadership and document all incidents accurately and in real time Follow all site-specific protocols and emergency procedures

Qualifications & Requirements

Valid BC Security Worker License

Valid First Aid/CPR Certification

Strong English communication skills - both written and verbal Proficiency with computers and video surveillance/incident tracking systems Experience in a control room, monitoring center, or similar security role is an asset High level of discretion, reliability, and attention to detail

Working Conditions
