Experienced Security Guard - Supporting Vulnerable Populations

Job Summary:

Protection Security Investigations is seeking dependable and professional

Security Guards

for a seasonal contract providing

24-hour coverage

at a location in

Brantford, Ontario.

This position supports staff and residents by maintaining a safe and respectful environment, conducting patrols, managing site access, and monitoring for safety concerns. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in residential, shelter, or social service settings and demonstrate strong interpersonal and conflict management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain a visible and professional presence to promote safety and deter disruptive behavior. Conduct regular

interior and exterior patrols

of the premises, documenting all findings and incidents. Monitor cameras and access points to ensure the security of residents, staff, and property. Enforce the

Trespass to Property Act

and site policies in a fair and lawful manner. Respond to incidents involving disturbances, medical situations, or safety concerns with calm professionalism. Complete accurate

daily activity logs

and detailed

incident reports

as required. Collaborate with on-site staff and community partners to ensure consistent safety and support for residents. Remain alert and proactive during overnight hours and shift transitions.

Requirements:

Valid

Ontario Security Guard Licence

(mandatory). Previous experience in

residential, community, or social service security

preferred. Strong communication, observation, and de-escalation skills. Ability to work

12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Physically fit and able to perform patrol duties in various weather conditions. Professional appearance, reliability, and commitment to PSI's standards of conduct.

Preferred Location:

Candidates should reside in

Brantford or within a 30-minute commute.
