Job Description


The Laboratory of Behavioural Neuroendocrinology in collaboration with womenmind at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a part-time, contract (12 months) Scientific Associate to provide support in the development and production of grant proposals and the development of toolkits related to but not limited to sex and gender based data analysis.The candidate will report to the Principal Investigator (PI) within the group. The candidate will work closely with members of both the Laboratory of Behavioural Neuroendocrinology and the womenmind community. The candidate will require strong interpersonal and communication skills and should be able to lend expertise in the field of sex and gender based analysis. The successful candidate will assist with grant strategy for both groups, work closely with group members and external collaborators, assist with grant writing and may assist on the production of manuscripts. The candidate will support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork, and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements. This position is primarily located at the CAMH 250 College St Site, with the flexibility to work remotely.Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate must have a PhD in Neurosciences, Psychology, or equivalent, with a specialization or demonstrated interest in sex and gender based studies and analyses
  • A minimum of at least three (3) years relevant research experience
  • Demonstrated familiarity with analysis tools and methods, particularly in sex and gender based analysis
  • Extensive experience with scientific writing, with a proven track record and aptitude in scientific publishing
  • Previous experience with the grant writing process, in both strategy and production of grant proposals
  • The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in knowledge translation
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and the scientific community
