The School Operation Support Officer ensures the smooth and efficient operation of daily school activities while providing assistance in administrative tasks, student services, and basic IT support. This role plays a vital part in supporting the Principal, teachers, and students to maintain a positive and organized school environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
School Operation Support
Assist the Principal and school office in daily administrative and operational tasks.
Support the planning, coordination, and execution of extracurricular activities and school events.
Monitor and record student attendance; assist in addressing student needs and daily inquiries.
Provide support to teachers and staff to ensure an organized, efficient, and student-friendly school environment.
Maintain inventory of school supplies and coordinate maintenance or repair services when needed.
Assist in student orientation, supervision, and communication between students, teachers, and parents.
Basic IT Support
Assist staff and students in using computers, printers, projectors, and other school devices.
Install and maintain standard software and hardware for school and office use.
Provide support for Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and common educational tools.
Troubleshoot minor technical issues (e.g., Wi-Fi, login access, printer setup).
Maintain IT and AV equipment records and coordinate repairs with service providers.
Support setup and operation of audio/video systems for classrooms and school events.
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
Diploma or bachelor's degree in Administration, Education, or Information Technology, or a related field.
Equivalent education and relevant work experience will also be considered.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in school operations, student services, or IT support.
Experience working in an educational environment is an asset.
Familiarity with hardware/software setup and troubleshooting preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and general computer operations.
Basic understanding of software installation, Wi-Fi setup, and user account management.
Ability to support and maintain classroom audio/video equipment.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support staff and students effectively.
Excellent organization, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities.
Positive, service-oriented attitude and a collaborative team player.
Ability to work independently in a dynamic school environment.
Language Requirement:
Chinese language is required
