Job Description


Quill Transport Ltd., a member of Siemens Transportation Group Inc., has an immediate opening for Class 1A Peddle Line Drivers at their Saskatoon, SK location. These drivers will be tasked with regular scheduled deliveries. Home evenings, weekends and stat holidays off. Service rural SK Monday to Friday departing 6:00am
Minimum daily rate guarantee of $220 per day

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance check and pre trip/post trip inspection
  • Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner
  • Load and unload freight in an efficient and safe manner
  • Handling of freight documents
  • Handling freight as required
  • All other duties as requested

Qualifications

  • Class 1A license
  • Good customer service skills and a customer-oriented attitude
  • Good oral and communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of equipment - usage and repair
  • Experience in loading and unloading
  • Knowledge of provincial weight and dimension regulations
  • Knowledge of city routes and country routes
