Q-Line Trucking is looking for a Pilot Driver based out of Saskatoon, SK, to join our team in guiding over-dimensional deck freight safely across Canada.
Reporting to the Pilots \xe2\x80\x93 Team Lead, the Pilot Truck Driver is responsible for safely leading and providing guided instruction for over-dimensional semi-truck/trailer units. *
RESPONSIBILITIES: *

• Make the traveling public transportation aware of the presence of an over-dimensional load across Canada and possibly the USA
• Either leading the way or following behind over-dimensional loads
• Direct and/or control roadway traffic using proper flagging procedures
• Notify public traffic of the upcoming over-dimensional load and provide safe options as required
• Provide warning to the load-driver of any potential roadway hazards ahead such as obstructions or pedestrian traffic, etc.
• Assisting the load-driver with finding a safe place to pull over to allow public traffic to pass by when necessary
• Assist the driver of super-loads which may require speed assistance with trailers or height tools such as the use of height poles.
• Ongoing learning of transportation safety regulations and requirements
• Other duties may be assigned

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: *
High School Diploma or GED required

• Minimum 3 years of Class 5 driving experience
• Must hold a valid Class 5 drivers license and provide a clean drivers abstract
• Ability to understand the rules of over-dimensional transportation
• Overnight travel at times
• Tolerate some outdoor work environment
• Ability to work with little supervision
• Reliable and accountable to be at work precisely on time as requested
• Valid passport is preferred
• Ability to exert force up to 25kg
