Summary Description



Provides prompt, dependable, high quality assistance to the sales department and other teams (specifically service) as required.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:



1) Sales Assistance

Cosmetically recondition used motorcycles (wash, vacuum, buff) following the sales schedule to get them ready for the showroom floor. Wash and prepare sold units. Ensure showroom floor motorcycles are clean (dust free) and appealing to customers. Assist staff in maintaining the cleanliness of showroom and displays. Support with set-up, organization and staging of all special events (instore and offsite). Entertain and assist customers and connect customer with a Sales Associates. Attend offsite motorcycle events as required. Perform inhouse demo bike inspections on a weekly basis. Travel to licensing office to pick-up and drop-off licensing as required.
2) Helping Service Personnel

Ability to accept and follow directions. Help Service Department employees to run an efficient and customer oriented department. Wash Motorcycles. Ensure they are cleaner than when customer dropped them off. Assist Technicians with keeping the service department clean and organized. Assist with new motorcycle un-crating and set-up. Performs motorcycle wash/detailing using buffing equipment. Responsible for the shuttling of motorcycles for efficient delivery to repair area, customer pick up, and storage. Working 48-24 hours ahead as per schedules. Maintain basement space allocations for motorcycles year round. Maintain and periodically check inventory of charged motorcycle batteries, including storage bike batteries and tending. Re-fill stock of oil, gas caddies or other supplies, as needed. May provide truck & trailer delivery and/or pick up of motorcycles. Assist technicians or other dealership personnel, when asked.
3) Other Duties - As Assigned

Qualifications & Job Requirements:



Must have an approachable, likeable personality with a high energy level. Excellent communication skills & time management. Grade 12 education. Must have a valid GM2, or higher, driver's license. Ability to accept and follow directions. Ability to operate fork lift. Able to respond quickly to a dynamic and changing environment. Able to deal with people tactfully and professionally at all times. Must be able to work effectively with all areas of the dealership to maximize both the buying experience for the customer and the profitability of the dealership.

Physical Demands



The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Requires the use of both hands. Frequently required to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, handle tools, and lift 40 lb. of material. Occasionally required to balance and push a 600+ lb. motorcycle. Working in standing position most of day.

Working Conditions:



Works both inside and outside, regardless of weather Is potentially exposed to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning materials or other toxic materials commonly found in a motor vehicle service department. Occasionally, exposed to exhaust fumes or other airborne particles. Overtime as required. Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
