McCain Produce Inc. is currently seeking a results-oriented team player in Lansdowne, NB in the role of Sales Representative. This position is responsible for strategic management and development of the fresh potato category. The individual will be dealing with current customers and will be required to attract new potential partners.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for managing the sales function for table potatoes in North America
  • Work with the managing directors on export sales opportunities as they arise
  • Management of defined key accounts to determine & execute plans to maximize key growth and profitability opportunities. Maximize sales volume & profitability to achieve budget
  • Manage raw material, customer orders, and logistics to ensure orders deliver on time
  • Responsible for business development initiatives to grow our customer list, sales volume and quality of business
  • Develop appropriate reports to aid in analysis of business performance
  • Work with new potato varieties to take advantage of new opportunities
Qualifications
  • University undergraduate degree is preferred
  • Experience with mid-large customer base and/or key accounts strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to build market share and aggressively grow business in a highly competitive marketplace an asset
  • Proven ability and experience to pro-actively develop new markets and/or business opportunities an asset
  • Exceptional verbal and writing communication skills. With proven ability creating and delivering strong sales presentations
  • Experience in the potato business or an agriculture background an asset
  • Familiarity in transportation networks an asset
  • Action orientation with a capability to deliver and execute plans
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills required
  • Ability to work in a small team environment and take on multiple roles and tasks
  • Willing to travel
