The Sales Consultant is responsible for meeting sales objectives by both serving their existing client base as well as expanding it. This is done by retaining existing customers, establishing new business relationships and meeting target margins and forecasted goals.
Responsibilities
Responsible for building and managing the sales pipeline of prospective new clients.
Actively pursuing and performing client lead generation, personal meeting, cold calling, email marketing, lead nurturing, lead validating, and lead closing.
Follow up on new opportunities generated by eMarketing initiatives;
Use existing client base to expand sales opportunities;
Identify the prospective client?s goals and solution their needs;
Prepare travel proposals making sure to meet the potential client's objectives;
Build accurate quotes and accurately timed itineraries;
Do a rigorous follow-up and maintain constant and pleasant communication with potential clients;
Perform analysis of our database in order to find potential sales opportunities;
Promote referral programs in order to expand opportunities within the client?s community.
Conduct live and virtual presentations with parents, teachers and school administrators
Ultimately responsible to ensure accounts are at balance zero prior to departure
Gain destination knowledge of our core products
Conduct business trips to conduct live presentations, meet clients and establish new relationships.
Skills and Qualifications
Excellent communication skills, including ability to write and speak English and French at a business level
College or university degree in Tourism management, Business or related program
Valid driver?s license
Organized, self-motivated and goal-orientated
High energy with a desire to meet results in a customer-centric, fast-paced environment
Ability to multi-task, adapt to change and ?think outside the box.?
Experience in sales with proven ability to meet/exceed sales targets is a plus
Experience in the educational travel industry is a plus
