Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety and Compliance coordinator to join our team. The Safety and Compliance Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that all company operations comply with federal, provincial, and industry safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of transportation compliance.

Duties

Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable transportation safety regulations (e.g., DOT, CVOR, NSC). Maintain and update driver qualification files, vehicle maintenance records, and safety logs. Conduct internal audits and inspections to identify risks and recommend corrective actions. Coordinate safety training programs and ensure all staff are up to date on certifications. Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and implement preventative measures. Collaborate with dispatch and operations teams to ensure safety is integrated into daily workflows. Manage Hours of Service (HOS) compliance and electronic logging device (ELD) data. Liaise with regulatory agencies during audits or inspections.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience in a safety, compliance, or dispatching role within the transportation industry. Strong knowledge of transportation safety regulations and compliance standards. Experience with ELD systems and fleet management software. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Pay: $36,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
