We are currently seeking skilled and reliable Flat Roofers to join our team in New Brunswick.
Key Responsibilities
Installation of Flat Roofing Systems
Install various systems including TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, and BUR.
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and manufacturer instructions.
Roof Repairs and Maintenance
Identify and repair leaks, punctures, and other damage.
Perform routine maintenance to extend roof lifespan.
Surface Preparation
Clean and prepare roof surfaces by removing debris, old materials, and moisture.
Apply primer or insulation as required.
Membrane Seaming and Welding
Seam membranes using hot air welders, adhesives, or solvents.
Inspect and test seams for watertight integrity.
Flashing and Detailing
Install flashing around roof penetrations and edges.
Ensure all details are sealed and waterproofed.
Safety Compliance
Follow provincial OHS regulations and company safety protocols, including fall protection and PPE use.
Working safely at heights and on active construction sites.
Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites.
Material Handling and Inventory
Load, unload, and stage roofing materials using appropriate equipment.
Track and manage on-site material inventory.
Collaboration and Communication
Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other trades.
Communicate clearly with team members to ensure smooth operations.
Weatherproofing and Waterproofing
Ensure complete waterproofing of all roof systems and components.
Documentation and Reporting
Record work completed and report any issues or delays to supervisors.
Qualifications
Preferred: Previous roofing experience, especially in flat roofing systems and applicable safety training certifications
