Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in modified bitumen, TPO and EPDM roofing systems, construction, and a strong understanding of safety protocols. As a Commercial Roofer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining flat roofs on commercial buildings. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.

Duties

Utilize hand tools and equipment effectively for roofing tasks. Install modified bitumen membrane using propane torch. Apply caulking materials to seal joints and seams for waterproofing. Conduct inspections of roofing systems to identify potential issues. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects. Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations while working on rooftops. Engage in heavy lifting as required during the installation and repair processes.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years torch experience Must have knowledge of fire safety , fall protection and ladder safety. Must own torch and general tools. Must be able to work independently to perform repairs on existing roofs to ensure durability and safety. Proficiency with hand tools and equipment used in flat roofing tasks. Previous maintenance person experience is advantageous for troubleshooting issues on-site. Must be physically fit and capable of performing heavy lifting as needed. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. Valid drivers license an asset. Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
