We're seeking

EXPERIENCED flat roofers

, especially those with proven skills in

flat roofing systems and torch-on membrane installation

.

This is a hands-on, physically demanding role suited for individuals who take pride in hard work, precision, and reliability.

Requirements

Must have

a personal vehicle that is not shared

Valid driver's license

and ability to commute across Ottawa and surrounding areas Must be

Key Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain flat roofing systems (torch-on, BUR, PVC, EPDM, etc.) Perform torching work, flashing installation, and waterproofing tasks Safely operate hand tools, hoists, and power equipment Load/unload materials, set up safety lines, and maintain clean worksites Work closely with team members to ensure efficient, high-quality installations

Duties

Assist in the installation and repair of roofing systems including

TORCH-ON Roofing systems

, shingles, tiles, and metal roofs. Perform heavy lifting and carry materials to job sites as needed.

Read blueprints

and follow specifications to complete roofing projects accurately. Remove old materials and debris, perform cleanup and snow removal as needed

Use ladders

and safety equipment to access roofs and transport materials Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Utilize hand tools and power tools

effectively for various roofing tasks. Support installation of

membranes, insulation, flashings, drains, and waterproofing systems

Apply

caulking and sealants

to ensure waterproofing of roof structures. Collaborate with team members to

ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards.

Skills

Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools

commonly used in construction and roofing.

Experience in the roofing industry REQUIRED

especially in torch-on roofing.

Familiarity with caulking techniques for effective sealing of roof joints.

Ability to perform heavy lifting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.31-$39.27 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 44 per week

Experience:

flat roofing: 1 year (required) Working with Roofing Torches: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:

Working at Heights Certificate (required) Propane in Construction (TSSA-approved) (preferred) (Not Mandatory) Torch-On Safety Certificate? Work Location: In person
