Your opportunity:

RISE is an innovative, evidence-based, community-based elder mistreatment response program that supports older adults who are at risk of or experiencing different forms of abuse and neglect. Under the general direction of the Principal Investigator, the successful incumbent will be supervising caseworker staff and overseeing the day-to-day operations of RISE. The incumbent will also be responsible for developing and maintaining connections with other programs in the community involved in preventing and addressing the issue of elder mistreatment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building and strengthening relationships with stakeholders and partners of strategic importance
  • Analyzing processes and recommending changes for more efficient coordination of operations
  • Developing content for marketing and/or promotional materials
  • Maintaining information on digital platforms and/or printed materials
  • Ensuring that program policies and procedures are applied consistently and equitably
  • Monitoring crisis response and intervention procedures to ensure adherence
  • Directing a small group in a limited area, including responsibility for scheduling and/or workflow
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum five years experience working in a social services program or agency in a similar role.
  • Experience overseeing day-to-day operations and workflow, including supervision of frontline practice staff.
  • Experience working in a frontline position in a social services program or agency.
  • Experience working with older adults or other groups affected by family violence.
  • Experience developing and disseminating content over social media.
  • Experience developing and implementing targeted outreach initiatives.
  • Experience developing components of programs.
  • Experience providing health assessments and treatments in accordance with professional standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain relationships with prospective community partners.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to proactively address challenges in day-to-day workflow and operations if they arise.
  • Proactive and self-directed.
  • Registered Social Worker or Registered Social Service Worker (RSW/RSSW).
Assets (Nonessential):
  • Experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds using cultural safety and trauma informed perspectives.
  • Experience advising on communications strategies to support goals and priorities.
  • Experience identifying and revising business methods and/or tools that support workflow and objectives.

Notes:

A part of the training (expense paid) will be held at a partner site in Maine, USA. Valid passport and ability to travel for this training for approximately 1 week in 2023.
