We are currently seeking a Revenue Analyst to join our team in St. John's, NL.

Working with the Finance, Commercial, and Operations teams, the Revenue Analyst will provide analysis, recommendations, and solutions to optimize passenger revenues on commercial flights utilizing capacity, volumes, and fares. They will monitor booking trends and competitor pricing to make strategic decisions to increase revenues and profitability.

What you'll do:

  • Work collaboratively with all levels of personnel and management on revenue cycle performance to meet strategic goals and develop all guidelines, policies, and procedures through use of data analysis
  • Coordinate and implement revenue cycle initiatives, including identifying and assembling resources when necessary. Formulate and make recommendations to leadership on policies and practices relating to revenue cycle improvements
  • Develop and circulate weekly reports on progress and results of revenue management initiatives and actions taken. Analyzing and summarizing data with subsequent communication to senior leadership and operations
  • Strategically identify and communicate critical success factors necessary to support financial and organizational goals
  • Proactively identify bottlenecks in all revenue-related processes and find ways to make things go faster, smoother, and more efficiently for all involved
  • Analyzing data, forecasts, measuring results, and adjusting processes
  • Daily review of seat inventory for upcoming weeks. Review booking activity compared to benchmarks from prior years to identify actions required and work with teams to implement
  • Daily review of fares for upcoming weeks. Based on inventory and market analysis, adjust fares to optimize demand
  • Monitor monthly revenue forecasts. Report any concerns and make required adjustments to eliminate/reduce any issues
  • Communication with key stakeholders. Ensure departments are informed of extra sections and changes to flight schedules. Attend weekly Commercial meeting to review previous week and upcoming items
  • Monthly review of aircraft line-up with Operations, working with the team to find solutions to resolve capacity conflicts
  • Schedule reviews: Assist with quarterly review of full flight schedule to ensure it meets customer needs, work with team to create an implement seasonal schedules (such as Christmas and around long weekends)
  • Other duties as assigned.
What we're looking for:
  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in Business, Statistics or technical fields required with an emphasis on quantitative analysis
  • 2-5 years' experience in Data Analysis preferred
  • 1-year experience in Flight Operations preferred
  • 4 years' experience in Operations Management preferred
  • Able to travel on occasion across the PAL network to observe operations
  • Knowledge of basic programing (SQL, Power BI etc.) preferred
