Job Description
Thai Basil is a fast paced but truly authentic Thai cuisine located at Major MacKenzie & Bayview in Richmond Hill. Awarded by Thai trade & Thai Embassy and is one of the best dining atmosphere in York Region. We are currently hiring the Restaurant Manager.
This job is open for all Canadians with the required experience including underrepresented groups: Newcomers and Youth are targeted.
Duties:
Develop budget to determine cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies
Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget
Monitor revenues to determine labour cost
Monitor staff performance
Plan and organize daily operations
Recruit staff
Set staff work schedules
Supervise staff
Cost products and services
Organize and maintain inventory
Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
Participate in marketing plans and implementation
Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
Recruit and hire staff
Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
Requirements:
Min. 2 years of management experience and is able to supervise 15+ staff: Must have knowledge and supervising experience on authentic Thai cuisine recipes, as well as Thai restaurant operation managing experience.Wage:
$36/hour, 35 hours/week. Full time only.Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $36.00 per hour
