We're looking for a hands-on Assistant Manager to lead by example, deliver friendly guest service, and help run day-to-day operations. You'll coach a team, keep service fast and accurate, and ensure our restaurant meets Tim Hortons brand standards every shift.
What You'll Do
Lead the shift: Set up the floor plan, assign positions, manage breaks, and keep the line moving (drive-thru & front counter).
Deliver great guest experiences: Resolve concerns quickly and kindly; maintain "Always Fresh" standards.
Coach & develop: Train new team members, give on-the-spot feedback, and support performance reviews.
Standards & safety: Enforce food safety, cleanliness, and health & safety protocols (OHSA/AODA).
Cash & controls: Manage tills, voids, deposits, and daily paperwork with accuracy.
Inventory: Track waste, place/receive orders, rotate stock, and help hit cost targets.
Scheduling & labour: Support schedule building, manage labour to sales, and cover when needed.
KPI ownership: Help drive speed-of-service, order accuracy, OSAT/guest satisfaction, and sales.
As a Restaurant Manager you empower and lead your team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. You promote a respectful team environment and manage team members with open communication and understanding. You have the knowledge, skills and long term vision to support the Restaurant Owner in running a successful business.
You are an expert at recruiting, training, and coaching a diverse team to achieve and maintain Tim Hortons' high standards of operation. Your high standards for operational excellence allow you to easily plan and execute methods of increasing sales and achieving targeted costs. You thrive in the fast paced atmosphere and love coming to work every day!
What You Bring
2-3 years of leadership experience in quick-service/retail (Tim Hortons or QSR experience is a strong asset).
Confident leading teams of 8-15 during peak periods.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and guest-first mindset.
Comfortable with POS systems, cash handling, basic Excel/Google Sheets.
Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25-40 lb.
Schedule
Flexible 35-44 hours/week; must be available for early mornings (as early as 5:00 a.m.), evenings, weekends, and holidays.
