Resume du poste:

Ce poste sera principalement responsable de fournir des conseils juridiques reglementaires et commerciaux en sciences de la vie a la societe affiliee canadienne. Le role sera axe sur l'evaluation, la gestion et l'explication des risques juridiques, la conformite a toutes les lois et tous les reglements applicables, la formation sur les questions juridiques pertinentes et la reponse aux besoins juridiques de l'organisation canadienne. Le poste sera base a Montreal, au Quebec, et relevera du vice-president et chef du contentieux adjoint, Intercon Markets.




Responsabilites du role:

Fournir un soutien juridique dans l'ensemble des operations commerciales, y compris les fonctions commerciales, de R&D, medicales et de soutien, en assurant la conformite aux lois et en gerant les risques juridiques. Agir a titre de representant juridique au sein de certains comites diriges par le directeur general du Canada et d'autres membres de l'equipe de direction dans le cadre du modele de gouvernance des affilies. Maintenir l'integrite de l'entreprise, en offrant de l'education et de la formation juridiques, en soutenant les audits et les enquetes internes et en collaborant avec la conformite et l'equipe de direction pour promouvoir une culture d'entreprise transparente et inclusive. Gerer le soutien juridique externe et prioriser la charge de travail en fonction des besoins de l'entreprise.

Qualification:

Diplome en droit et qualification pour pratiquer le droit au Canada d'une universite accreditee. Une moyenne de 10 ans d'experience professionnelle qualifiee, de preference dans les sciences de la vie/le droit pharmaceutique. Experience de travail au sein de multinationales pharmaceutiques de preference. Excellente communication orale et ecrite en anglais et en francais.

Integrite personnelle et ethique superieures. Excellentes competences en matiere d'analyse et de reflexion strategique, avec une attention aux details et a l'impact sur l'organisation au sens large. Capacite de reconnaitre les problemes a risque eleve et de les transmettre de maniere appropriee a un gestionnaire ou a des experts en la matiere. Demontrer sa capacite a communiquer des questions complexes clairement, verbalement et par ecrit, en anglais et en francais, en anticipant le niveau de detail attendu et en se preparant a d'eventuelles questions de suivi. Pensee creative, innovante et orientee vers les solutions. Pratique et esprit d'equipe. Faire preuve de leadership et maintenir une collaboration et un travail d'equipe solides a l'echelle de l'organisation pour soutenir une prise de decision rapide et appropriee. S'approprier et assumer la responsabilite du travail tout en instaurant la confiance et en donnant aux autres les moyens de s'approprier leur travail.

Job Summary:

This position will be primarily responsible for providing life sciences regulatory and commercial legal advice to the Canadian affiliate. The role will focus on assessing, managing and explaining legal risk, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, providing education on relevant legal matters, and responding to the legal needs of Canada organization. The position will be based in Montreal, Quebec, and reports to the VP and Assistant General Counsel, Intercon Markets.



Role responsibilities:

Provide legal support across business operations including commercial, R&D, medical, and supporting functions, ensuring compliance with laws and managing legal risks. Act as the Legal representative on, and proactively participate in, certain Committees led by the Canada General Manager and other members of the leadership team as part of the affiliate governance model. Uphold company integrity, delivering legal education and training, supporting audits and internal investigations and collaborating with Compliance and the leadership team to promote a transparent and inclusive workplace culture. Manage external legal support and prioritize workload according to business needs.

Qualification:

Law degree and qualification to practice law in Canada from an accredited University. An average of 10 years of professional qualified experience, preferably in life-science/pharmaceutical law. Working experience with multinational pharmaceutical companies preferred. Excellent oral and written communication in English and French.

Ability to recognize and appropriately escalate to manager and/or subject matter experts on higher risk issues. Demonstrate ability to communicate complex issues clearly, verbally and in writing in both English and French, anticipating the expected level of detail and preparing for potential follow-up questions. Creative, innovative thinking and solution oriented. Hands-on and team player. Demonstrate leadership and maintain strong collaboration and teamwork across the organization to support speedy and appropriate decision-making. Take ownership and responsibility for work while extending trust and empowering others to own their work.
