ABOUT THE POSITION:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Property Manager to oversee our Independent living buildings. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a caring and focused mindset, ensuring that all residents receive exceptional service while maintaining the property to the highest standards. This role requires a blend of administrative expertise, light duty maintenance knowledge, relationship management, and effective communication skills.
Responsibilities
Manage daily operations of residential properties, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Complete or Coordinate property maintenance and repairs
Assist with maintaining accurate records through data entry and filing systems, ensuring all resident information is up-to-date.
Complete weekly housekeeping and landscaping tasks to keep the property clean, accessible and well kept.
Conduct regular property inspections to ensure quality standards are met and identify areas for improvement.
Facilitate sales and rental processes, including marketing available units, conducting showings, and negotiating agreements.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents to foster a sense of community within the property.
Collaborate with the maintenance team, vendors and contractors to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
Experience and requirements
Drivers License
Criminal Records check with vulnerable sector
Proven experience in property management or a related field is preferred.
Strong administrative skills with experience in office environments.
Background in sales or customer service is highly desirable.
Proficient in negotiation techniques to effectively manage lease agreements and resident relations.
Housekeeping experience is required - vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, etc.
Light duty maintenance experience is required - light plumbing, changing air filters, lights, etc.
Able to participate in snow removal and landscaping
Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills are essential for interacting with residents and vendors.
