It contrasts Welfarist and Extra-Welfarist perspectives on resource allocation (contrasting technical versus allocative efficiency). The course will also review cost-benefit, cost-effectiveness, and cost-utility approaches of evaluating health interventions; and in so doing the course will provide students an opportunity for hands-on computation (workshops).
