Relations Manager St. Charles Village is a 70 suite Independent Retirement Community offering supportive services to our senior residents. We are proud of the fact that we have been a part of the Welland Community for over 35 years and are owned by the same individuals who built the facility all those years ago!Reporting to the General Manager, you will have experience working in a managerial role you must be able to confidently deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and clearly communicate business objectives to ensure that day to day business operations run smoothly.In the absence of the General Manager, the Relations Manager must be able to competently perform the General Managers duties.This full-time position will mainly be Monday-Friday with the possibility of working one weekend per month. There is some flexibility with the hours.This full-time position requires the following skills and abilities. Duties included but are not limited to;

  • Work with the General Manager and other department managers and assist with anything from project planning to staff management and resident relations
  • Ensure St. Charles Village's policies and procedures are followed
  • Ensure Ontario Health & Safety Procedures are followed. If not certified, must be willing to obtain certificate and participate in Joint Health & Safety which St. Charles Village covers the cost of the course
  • Remain up-to-date with RHRA regulations
  • Must have great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and observation skills
  • Must have strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and have at least a good familiarity with Quick books
  • Maintain St. Charles Village website and social media outlets to remain current
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to nurture a positive environment with residents, resident family members and staff
  • Maintain/create office procedures by planning and implementing office systems which includes scheduling and assigning tasks to the reception and housekeeping teams
  • Maintain and/or create daily, weekly, monthly and annual spreadsheets
  • Participate in the preparation of Month End reporting
  • Participate in some activities with the residents
  • Delegate daily tasks where necessary
  • Become familiar with St. Charles Villages food ordering/receiving system
The successful candidates must haves
  • A valid driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle
  • Produce a Vulnerable Sector Policy Check
  • Supply a 2 Part TB Test or Chest X-ray results within the last six months
  • Must have at least two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine and willing to get the third booster within 30 days of hire

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff are required to wear a medical mask throughout their entire shift.
Rapid tests are also required for staff every 72 hours.Ability to commute/relocate:
