The Client:

Our client is a reputable and established employer in the Niagara Region. Due to a recent internal promotion, they are hiring for a Regulatory Accountant to join the team. This position is hybrid, requiring a minimum of 2 days onsite per week.

The Role:

The Regulatory Accountant is an integral part of the Finance Team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Regulatory Accountant ensures compliance with all regulatory regulations and assists with regulatory reporting. As the Regulatory Accountant, you will be responsible for complex accounting entries and perform financial analysis on these accounts. You will assist with preparation of financial statements and submissions to the parent company. You will be responsible for ensuring controls are in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. You will be involved in researching complex accounting topics to ensure proper presentation of financial results.

What do you bring to the role?

To be considered for the role of Regulatory Accountant, you must be a designated CPA. You are a go-getter who always takes responsibility for your work and wants to learn the business in order to grow within the organization. You are deadline-driven and an organized multi-tasker who can handle multiple deadlines. You should have strong Excel skills and exposure to large ERP systems like SAP. Recently designated CPA\'s from public accounting firms are invited to apply.

- CPA designation
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Knowledge of ASPE and US GAAP
- Self-starter who can meet tight deadlines
- Sarbanes-Oxley knowledge
- Strong Excel skills
- Public accounting experience with large clients is an asset
