The Sudbury Counselling Centre is seeking a dynamic and independent individual to fill the following contract:

Social Service Worker



Registered Social Worker



Registered Psychotherapist



REQUIREMENTS:



Diploma or bachelor's degree from an accredited post-secondary institution

Registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

Successful completion of police records check - Vulnerable sector screening

English: Fluent. French: functional.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:



Knowledge of interventions with child witnesses or victims of domestic violence

Knowledge of interventions with women who are victims of violence

Knowledge of individual intervention and group processes

Working Conditions:



Working hours: 35 hours per Weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Work location: 260 Cedar Street, Sudbury, ON P3B 1M7

Duration: 6 months with the possibility of renewal

Salary is based on the collective agreement pay scale and depends on education and experience, from $48,136 (for College Diplomat) and $54,338 (for BSW) per year.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



The Counsellor is responsible for providing individual counselling sessions and facilitating psychoeducational group sessions. The Counsellor offers in-person sessions at the office and remotely via telephone and/or virtual. The Counsellor is also responsible for coordinating groups for children who are witnesses or victims of domestic violence.

Inscription aupres de l'Ordre des travailleurs sociaux et des techniciens en travail social de l'Ontario (OTTSSO) ou de l'Ordre des psychotherapeutes autorises de l'Ontario (OPAO).

Verification des antecedents judiciaires reussie - Verification des antecedents en vue d'un travail aupres de personnes vulnerables

Anglais : courant. Francais : fonctionnel.

CONNAISSANCES SPECIALISEES:



Connaissance des interventions aupres des enfants temoins ou victime a la violence conjugale

Connaissance des interventions aupres des femmes victimes de violence

Connaissance d'intervention individuelle et processus de groupe

Conditions de travail:



Heures de travail : 35 h par semaine de 8h30 a 16h30

Le salaire est base sur l'echelle salariale de la convention collective et depend de l'education et de l'experience, de 48 136 $ (pour le diplome universitaire) a 54 338 $ (pour le BSW) par an.
