About Us

Optima Counselling and Psychotherapy Centre, is a culturally responsive mental health practice dedicated to supporting South Asian, Black, Indigenous, and other racialized communities. We provide compassionate, evidence-based therapy that addresses identity, intergenerational challenges, family dynamics, and systemic barriers. We are seeking Registered Social Workers and Psychotherapists who are committed to inclusive, high-quality care.

Responsibilities

Providing high-quality, evidence-based psychotherapy services to individuals with a focus on supporting South Asian, BIPOC, and other diverse communities. Deliver individual and or family therapy using evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, EFT, ACT, trauma-informed approaches). Conduct intake assessments, develop treatment plans, and track client progress. Provide services across the lifespan, including children, youth, adults, and families. Work sensitively with diverse cultural and community contexts. Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records, in alignment with OCSWSSW Standards of Practice. Uphold the highest ethical standards in alignment with the OCSWSSW Standards of Practice Offer services primarily during

daytime hours

weekend availability

. Participate in team consultations, peer learning, and professional development.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Social Work Registered and in good standing with

OCSWSSW

(Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers) Demonstrated clinical experience with children, youth, adults, and families. Strong skills in assessment, treatment planning, and intervention. Second language fluency (especially relevant to South Asian or other racialized populations) is a strong asset. Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in mental health care.
