Job Description

Registered Early Childhood Educator Supervisor for toddler to school age groups.

Full time, permanent position available.

Duties:

Responsible for overseeing the planning and implementation of programming within the centre.

Supervision and leadership of staff.

Responsible overseeing the learning environment and overseeing activities that foster all areas of the child's emotional, cognitive, social and physical development. This includes play-based learning programs and small or large group activities.

Plan and organize activities and outings for school age and preschoolers.

Document and record keeping daily, must over see documentation of all staff.

Plan and maintain a high-quality environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children.

Oversee and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members.

Required to submit written observations on children and staff.

Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with parents, staff and community service providers working with children.

Lead staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required.

Work in partnership to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials and child care centre.

Other duties assigned.

Requirements:

Must be registered with and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators- RECE

Certified in Standard First Aid and CPR training level C

Clear Police Vulnerable Sector Criminal Check

Medical clearance and up to date immunization

Working knowledge of ELECT and How Does Learning Happen

Candidates should possess the ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication and be able to work as part of committed and dedicated team
