Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Early Childhood Educator to lead our team as the Supervisor. This role is essential in supporting the team in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and possess the skills necessary to engage with children effectively.

Previous Supervisor experience is an asset.

The Supervisor position is for a 12-month maternity leave, with potential for continuous employment within the company.

The position would begin close to December 15 with the opportunity to shadow the current Supervisor prior to changeover.

Responsibilities

Childcare supervisor duties include, but are not limited to;

overseeing daily operations
ensuring safety and licensing compliance
managing staff through hiring and training
monitoring and supporting the development and implementing of program activities, and maintaining communication with parents and the community.
responsible for administrative tasks as required for the Ministry of Education, Durham Region Health Department, Ministry of Labour
maintaining ratios and staff schedules to meet ratios

Qualifications

Current Registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators. Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is essential. Strong communication skills in English. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Leadership qualities that inspire confidence and respect among children and colleagues. Ability to write clear reports and maintain documentation.

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
