$18/hour base, plus CWELCC wage enhancement funding

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our team for a 1-year maternity leave contract, with the potential for extension. The ideal candidate is a caring professional who values responsive relationships, play-based learning, and aligns with "How Does Learning Happen?" and the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA).

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for children Observe, document, and assess children's development Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues Ensure compliance with the CCEYA and all licensing requirements Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

Must be a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) Able to provide RECE registration number upon request Strong knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA) and "How Does Learning Happen?" Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills Passion for working with children and supporting early learning and development

Required Documents (must be current):

RECE registration (proof of good standing with CECE) Up-to-date immunization record Vulnerable Sector Police Check (within last 6 months) Standard First Aid & CPR Level C certification
