Bayview Dental Centre is looking for a part-time Hygienist to cover a maternity leave. This position has the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position. Office hours are Monday-Thursday 8:00-5:00pm, no overtime and no weekends. Days are flexible.

Our office has state of the art technology including EMS airflow guided biofilm therapy. New dental chair in the op, as well as touch free overhead light. Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing preventive dental care, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dental team in providing exceptional patient experiences.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages. Utilize Dentrix software for patient record management and appointment scheduling. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Assist with orthodontic procedures and provide support to the orthodontist as needed. Work collaboratively with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols. Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient concerns and inquiries with professionalism. Document medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately in patient records. Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients.

Requirements

Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice. Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred. Familiarity with Dentrix software is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is essential. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to enhance patient communication. Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with patients. Experience in orthodontics and pediatrics is a plus but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are required for this role.
