We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice on a Part-Time basis for Mondays (9am-5pm) and Saturdays (8am-4pm with a min of 3 Saturdays per month). The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental hygiene procedures, and assisting in the overall management of patient health. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric patients.
Conduct patient evaluations, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories.
Utilize medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosing dental conditions.
Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow for the dentist.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Implement aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and sterile environment for all procedures.
Collaborate with other dental professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and practices to enhance patient outcomes.
Skills
Has strong knowledge of dentistry principles and practices.
Has the ability to understand and apply dental terminology effectively in patient interactions.
Has knowledge of anatomy related to oral health, as well as infection control protocols.
Has previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred.
Has Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient care and assessment.
Has proficiency in Tracker software for managing patient records and appointments.
Is licensed to work in Ontario
Is computer literate and comfortable with technology (i.e. iTero, IO camera)
Is fluent in English
Is dynamic, energetic, and professional
Has excellent organizational, communication and people skills
Is self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced work environment
Is reliable, dependable and a strong team player
