Conditions of Employment:


Must be legally entitled to work in Canada Must have a valid Manitoba Class 5 Full Drivers Licence. Must be able to travel occasionally by vehicle. Must be able to work irregular hours on occasion.

Qualifications:


Essential:




Post-secondary education in Business or Public Administration, Human Resource Management or Financial Administration. A combination of education and experience may be considered. Extensive office administration experience including designing, implementing and managing systems and/or processes. Experience in financial management including budget development, management, monitoring and analysis. Experience with human resources management including performance management, training and coaching, and interpreting and applying HR policies and legislation. Broad knowledge of occupational health and safety and risk management principles, policies, practices and legislation. Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise staff. Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain a positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent written communication skills with experience writing clear and concise documents and reports. Excellent verbal communication skills. Excellent planning and organizing skills at both strategic and operational levels. Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) or compatible software programs.

Duties:


As a member of the Regional Senior Management Team, the incumbent is responsible for the planning, coordination, management and delivery of the administrative functions within Regional Operations. Advocating on behalf of the Region, while respecting and adhering to the need for corporate comptrollership, provides recommendations and advises on the interpretation and application of regulations and policies in the Human Resource, Information Technology (IT), Finance, and Health & Safety areas to facilitate and support effective management of regional services.
