We are seeking a passionate and skilled Red Seal Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality dishes are prepared and served in a timely manner. Duties
Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning and development, ensuring creativity and seasonal relevance.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training on food preparation techniques and safety standards.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including inventory management, food ordering, and maintaining cleanliness.
Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health regulations and safety standards.
Prepare high-quality dishes in accordance with restaurant standards while maintaining consistency.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during peak hours.
Monitor food presentation and portion control to maintain quality standards.
Assist in managing kitchen schedules and staff assignments to optimize workflow.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in the food industry minimum of 10 years
Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and kitchen safety practices.
Familiarity with restaurant management principles and leadership skills to effectively manage kitchen staff.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
Passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Experience in bartending is a plus but not required.
