What we are looking for: Join the Recruitment Team at Oak Valley Health in this exciting and challenging role of Recruitment Specialist. Reporting to the Manager of Recruitment, the Recruitment Specialist will work closely with the Directors and Managers within assigned client portfolios and provide consultative support in achieving their various recruitment needs and challenges. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the full cycle recruitment process, including job posting, interview question development, arranging and participating in interviews, short listing candidates, pre-employment screening, referencing, and offers.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
  • Supporting Managers with their recruitment needs
  • Provide consultative support to leaders in understanding recruitment challenges and forecasting for future recruitment needs
  • Ensuring all Hiring Managers are utilizing best practice during the interview and selection process
  • Coordinate and participate in job fairs and open houses
  • Provide strategic advice to hiring managers re: external advertising venues and outreach to external candidates, i.e. Social Media sites
  • Consultative approach to candidate engagement and retention
  • Promote our Employer Brand through outreach to community programs, secondary and tertiary educational institutions
  • Collecting and gathering data for recruitment reports and trends
  • Ability to build and maintain a talent pool that can meet the company\xe2\x80\x99s current and future hiring needs
  • Experienced with candidate assessment and selection techniques
  • Participating in other recruitment and human resources initiatives and projects as needed

What you bring to the role:
  • Minimum of 2 -3 years working in a full scope recruitment function required; experience in a large healthcare setting is a strong asset
  • Degree or diploma in Human Resources
  • CHRP designation or willingness to complete
  • Experience in a high volume recruitment environment with a proven knowledge of current recruitment best practices
  • Knowledge of collective agreements and experience working with unions
  • Excellent consultative, critical thinking, problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with an Applicant Tracking System and HRIS as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically with a proven effective customer focus
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time and workload, as well as client expectations
  • Self-directed work habits coupled with positive collaborative abilities
  • Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards
  • Demonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with organization related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required

Work Schedule: The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday days. Schedules may change based on operational need. Currently hybrid model of weekly in the office and work from home work.
Compensation: Band Q: $32.17 - $37.72 per hour
